So, with birth, Maharishi Vyas became a young man and had gone to Dvipayana Islands to do penance. They were blackened by penance. That is why he is known as Krishna dvyapayana. Due to the division of Vedas, they were published in the name of Vedavis.

2-Maharishi Vedavavas created Mahabharata only. Maharishi went on speaking and Lord Shringesh went to write this scripture.
